Description
Metformin is an antihyperglycemic substance that improves glucose tolerance in type 2, lowers plasma glucose both basal and postprandial. Metformin lowers the production of glucose liver, lowers glucose absorbtion of the intestine, and improves insulin sensitivity by improving the take and use of glucose in the peripheral tissue.
